Nasik Trip
2 nights 3 days stay at Nasik and more...
It was my friends sisters wedding and so the plan was made.We would go on 6th Jan ,attend the reception on the 7th and then leave in the afternoon the next day.As simple as it sounds , it was filled with some of the most memorable memories and experiences.
We started at around 8 am in the morning on a Saturday Morning .The bus took the usual 4.5 hours and we arrived at our hotel City Pride. After relaxing for a few hours we set out to visit the most hyped place of Nasik ,yeah you guessed it right,The Sula Vineyard .The place was 12km away and so we had to hire a cab .We bought our tickets for the vine tasting and waited for our turn in the queue. During that time we took some pictures and scanned the entire place. We reached the entrance of the tour 5 minutes prior.
The first part of the tour was the grape crushing machines. We were shown two of them , one of which was not in use today . We were then taken to a room where the chemical processes took place and the fermentation process was done. After that we entered the barrel halls where the previously made wines were kept for fermentation. A speech by the tour guide on the history of Sula completed the tour after which we shopped for a while and left for the hotel.
We decided to go for a trek the following morning.
The end point of the trek was the origin of the sacred Godavari river. The trek was just besides the Trimbakeshwar temple. It was a very long trek and was tiring too. The frequent stops during trek and the small chitter chatter made the trek a bit easier. The top of the mountain was fabulous and the view from the top was also amazing. We sat there for some time has our snacks, took some pictures and went for the return journey. The company of the monkeys during the return journey made it a lot more fun from the usual long treks. We were very exhausted after coming down and so decided to rest at the hotel since we were to go to the wedding of one of my friends sister (for which we actually planned the nasik trip in the first place ;) .
We began dressing up for the reception which was to be held at a lawn not far from the hotel.
We all enjoyed a lot during the reception. The food was also amazing and the ambience was great. This was one of the most memorable trips for me. We returned by train the day after which was a one hour journey from nasik to mumbai. It was truly an amazing experience !!
Did I also mention we went to the friends cafe the night before the wedding. ?
